(Delaware ON) In only the second event night of the season, Trevor Collver and the Inventory Express Chevrolet Camaro took the checkered flag on the 2nd feature race of the night at Delaware Speedway. After starting 3rd, Collver was able to get to the front of the field in the opening laps by moving around Kathleen Green. Rick Verberne climbed to second place and was only able to get to four car lengths behind but could not chase down Collver’s # 1 Camaro.
Collver’s first race was equally as dominate, but ended in complete heartbreak. Starting out side of row three, Collver was able to work his way to the lead and lead the entire field over 15 laps. Collver had opened up the lead to over five seconds and was headed for victory lane before he noticed a rear tire softening. A caution flag for a spinning car brought the field together and that’s when Collver realized he had a tire going down. He was able to make the tire change under yellow flag conditions and rejoined the tail end of the field. With six laps to go, Collver battled back from 13th to grab the 5th position when the race concluded. Race 1 Started: 6th Finished 5th Race 2 Started:3rd Finished: 1st Written by Jared Doxtator
Trevor Collver and his #1 Inventory Express Chevrolet had a successful opening night at Delaware Speedway Friday night. The evening started out strong when the cars took to the track for group qualifying. Collver set fast time with a 20.275, just 0.115 of a second off his own track record that he set last year in 2018. With the a dice inversion, Collver would start 5th and worked his way only to 4th by the time the race was coming to its conclusion when 1st and 2nd place tangled off turn 4 and moved Collver up to 2nd place for what stock car fans classify as “overtime” with a green flag, white flag, checkered flag finish. On the start, Collver was unable to overtake eventual race winner Jamie Klumper out of Mitchell ON. Trevor Collver would settle for second. In the second of the Twin 25’s Collver would start 7th and was the excitement of the event moving up methodically each set of laps and by races end had fought his way to the second place position on the track. One late race restart set up a final chance to work his way to the front but was just unable to keep the car on the bottom of the track to make a run on eventual race winner Andrew Ferreira of Strathroy. Qualifying - Set Fast time 20.275 (Current Track Record 20.161 Trevor Collver - set May 13 2018) Race 1 Started 5th Finished 2nd Race 2 Stated 7th. Finished 2nd Listen to Exeter’s 90.5 myFM ‘s interview with Trevor Collver this week.

Coming off a two-win season and setting the current Super Stock qualifying Track record in 2018, the up coming season has the entire organization overwhelmed with excitement. Traditionally, the longer races have been right in Collver’s wheel house and is looking forward to the challenge of extra laps to get things done. With 14 Race weekends scheduled at Delaware Speedway and an appearance at the $5000 to Win Short track Nationals at Jukasa Motor Speedway, Trevor Collver’s schedule will be equally thrilling and extremely busy. This stacked field is expected to put on a show weekly at the famed half mile outside London ON.
